Babble Brew-Off

Entries are being accepted at Chicago Brew Werks in Plainfield, Brew and Grow in Chicago on Kedzie, What’s Brewing in Palatine, Growmasters in Gurnee, Perfect Brew Supply in Libertyville, DP Wiggley/Hop To It in Racine WI, and Northern Brewer in Milwaukee or entries can be mailed to 1425 knottingham Dr Gurnee IL 60031. Location of the Brew off will be at Only Child Brewing off of 94 and an Grand Ave. Stewards and Judges are always welcome to register, lunch and beer will be provided and a silent auction will be held. Also anyone picking up score sheets in person at the event will get a free pint complements of BABBLE

Competition Results: Our Raffle and Awards ceremony follows the judging on March 12th. Join us on the Urban Knaves of Grain (UKG) Facebook page for the simulcast presentation of awards. As winners are announced in each category live at the Roundhouse, we’ll post those results on Facebook.

Raffle: We will have a few high-end grand prizes along with the usual variety of prizes from our sponsors in this year’s raffle. You must be present to win.
Categories: Beer, Mead, & Cider entries will be judged in classes and subcategories listed in the 2015 BJCP Style Guidelines.
How to Enter: Follow the Rules and Regulations. Register online and create an entry for each of your brews. The entry form will create bottle labels for you; print the labels and attach to your bottles with a rubber band–no tape please! You will need two brown or green 10-14 oz. bottles of brew for each entry. Package the bottles appropriately and drop them off at one of our approved drop-off locations, or ship to the Two Brothers Roundhouse at the address above.

This competition will be limited to the first 800 entries received. After 800 entries, the registration system will be closed and no further entries will be accepted.

 

Charlie Orr Memorial Chicago Cup Challenge

Entry Registration and Drop Off / Shipping Information

Registration can only be done online in the following manner:

Beginning January 15, 2016 judges and stewards may register as volunteers.
Beginning February 1, 2016 participants may register themselves into the system.
Beginning February 27, 2016 participants/judges/stewards may enter their beers, meads, and ciders into the system.

After registering online at http://www.bossbeer.org/ChicagoCup you will receive special instructions for printing your bottle labels.

We will begin accepting physical entries at our collection points beginning Saturday February 27, 2016. We do have some special restrictions at certain drop off locations, so read this information thoroughly! Unless otherwise noted below, the entry drop off / shipping window time frame is February 27 to March 12, 2016. Entries will be accepted at the regular March BOSS meeting as well as at the designated shipping/drop-off locations.

There will be no walk-in beer entries accepted in this competition.

Entries are $7 for each entry.  All entry fees must be paid online via PayPal.  Instructions will be posted on the registration site prior to the first day of registration (February 27, 2016).

 

 

AHA National Homebrew Competition 1st Round – Chicago

The National Homebrew Competition (NHC), an AHA/BJCP sanctioned competition, is the world’s largest international beer competition recognizing the most outstanding homebrewed beer, mead, and cider produced by amateur brewers worldwide.
